🐝 Buzzing with Excitement – Beekeeper Visit

Posted Date: 10/23/25 (12:29 PM)

We had a sweet surprise on campus this week! Our students had the wonderful opportunity to learn all about bees during a special visit from local beekeeper, Steve Beckman!
During the presentation, students:

  • Got an up-close look at a real beekeeper suit and learned how it protects beekeepers while they care for hives.
  • Discovered the life cycle of bees, from egg to adult, and explored their fascinating behaviors.
  • Asked thoughtful questions and received expert answers about how bees live, work, and help our environment.
This hands-on experience helped students connect science to the world around them and sparked curiosity about nature, pollination, and the importance of bees in our ecosystem.
We’re grateful to our guest beekeeper for sharing his time and knowledge—and for helping our students “bee” inspired to learn more!
